Hi gang.
Two weeks later and it looks like I'm going to be making trips to the shop
in the State Capitol City. The one in College Town doesn't get enough of
the books I want (like Adventure) to put any on the shelves, nor do they get
the TPB or HC reprints of anything not gaming related. The shop listed on
the Locator website in Army Town is apparently closed. The one in State
Capitol City appears to have a bad habit of selling out of most items before
the next week's books come out, let alone the next issue (I have yet to find
the latest Action to make sure there's no Legion appearance), but they at
least will set up a pull list. I still need to go back and visit some of my
old haunts in Major City (Kansas City), where a couple of the shops I used
to patronize 20 years ago (Geez!) are still there. But that's another hour
plus each way, in addition to the 150 mile round trip the visits to State
Capitol City will require over and above my current work commute. So these
reports will NOT be on a weekly basis any more.
Anyway, one late report, and a couple of new items to report this week.

The late listing should be no surprise, as it has been talked about on a
couple of lists:
FINAL CRISIS: LEGION OF 3 WORLDS hardcover.
It collects the mini-series. Prime Trapper still loses.
This week's stuff:
ADVENTURE COMICS (III) 4 (or is it 507?)
For the lead, Superboy Prime replaces Superboy Clone (Connor). He's being
hunted by Black Lantern Alexander Luthor. I'm confused. Does DC think
we're supposed to root FOR Prime? Oh by the way, the Three-Boot Legion gets
a whole page, of talking about time anomalies.
For the Legion back-up, an injured and fading Blok goes to visit his
girlfriend, the No-Longer-White Witch. Color changes ensue.
Also reported as being out this week, but not at the shop in State Capitol
City:
SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERMAN TEAM-UPS 1
Apparently DC forgot they had Superman teaming up earlier in places OTHER
than DC Comics Presents. This volume reports to contain the contents of
DCCP 1-26, in which case the Legion appears as follows: a two-page scene in
the midst of a Superman/Flash time-travel race in issue #2; Guest stars in
issue #13, where they prevent Superman from rescuing Pete Ross's son (Part 1
of 3.); and a whole panel of Dawnstar's face in part 3 of that same story
from issue #25, where the Phantom Stranger appeared.
Until next time,
