I just wanted to scream the name of that batch of Legion clones just
to see what would happen. racdl has been kinda quiet lately.

LORELAI: I am so done with plans. I am never, ever making one again.
It never works. I spend the day obsessing over why it didn't work
and what I could've done differently. I'm analyzing all my shortcomings
when all I really need to be doing is vowing to never, ever make a plan
ever again, which I'm doing now, having once again been the innocent
victim of my own stupid plans. God, I need some coffee.

Yes. And I was testing just to see if anybody was paying attention.
Yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

No, it was just SW6, no hyphen.

What does it say about this newsgroup that the only conversation
generated here in days has been about punctuation? Does anyone visit
here? Have other forums pretty much displaced the conversation?

RACDU doesn't get all pissy about LSH discussions at the big table
anymore, so this place has sorta become superfluous. 'Least 'till summer.

...What's amazing is that, for the first time in probably 15 years I
decided to see just what sort of activity is going on over here on
.lsh, and I find it damn near dead.

Hell, maybe Usenet *is* dying after all.

I've gotta say that the traffic here on rac.dc.lsh has been so low in
the past 3-4 weeks that I do have to agree with YKW's suggestion that
Legion fans may be laying low until after Legion of Three Worlds sorts
things out (we hope.)

...Actually, I suspect we'll see a jump in the next few hours. It was
announced at WWPhilly that Shooter's still on the book "for at least a
year". Which may or may not mean a year from now, but a year's total
stories starting from his first issue.

...Honestly, tho, with Waid pretty much out of DC and over at Boom!, I
wouldn't be surprised if Didio *finally* listened to LSH fans and
restored the team to it's pre-Five Year Crap version - or, at least
gave us a book featuring the recent version in Action Comics. Waid's
version had only one redeeming aspect to it - Barry Kitson's art,
which was sadly wasted on an unnecessary reboot.

I have enjoyed the latest reboot better than the DNA legion; although, the Action Legion is closer
to what I really want in a legion book.

So does that mean Sydney Bristow will hunt them down. No, wait, that was

Then what's MI-5? I thought that that was the 5th season of Mission
Impossible.

Well, SW6 (without the hyphen) is somewhere in Fulham - anyone want to
start a British Legion / Matter Eater Lad with bad teeth thread ?

...I recall a thread about 20 years ago where there was a rather funny
debate on what limits there were to what Tenz could actually bite and
chew. Someone - it might have been Karen Williams - argued that if he
could eat the Miracle Machine, then he probably wouldn't have too much
of a problem with Inertron. This led to whether he could bite a chunk
out of Superman, or eat Wolverine's claws like asparagus.

I don't think we ever did come to a consensus on what Tenzil's
limitations were, although IIRC McRibs got the majority vote as to
what was most likely on his "cannot digest" list :-)

Seems to me that he'd have a little bit of a problem eating 1) the
fabric of space and time and 2) Death.

And probably Spoo.

www.britishlegion.org.uk ?? Not much of a similar operation!

VR 5 is a short-lived sciencey fantasy TV show, VO 5 is a hair

...doesn't someone collect a British magical object - probably
Excalibur or the Crown Jewels - in the Great Darkness Saga??

Yes, Excalibur -- which itself had been unearthed by Supergirl
as part of her successful application to join the Legion.
