It is nice to see JSA #4 teasing us Legion fans again. This time it
is on the last story page, and hopefully this will leading into the
story after the JLA/JSA story in the next two issues.

I am beginning to think that Countdown is counting down the weeks
until the original Legion finally returns to us fans :-) And if they
pull an Earth-1 original Legion / Earth-2 WKRP Legion split, I will be
very happy. I want to see both Legions survive, not the original
replacing the current Legion.

Actually, there would need to be 3 versions of the Legion since the
post-ZH Legion is necessary for Bart Allen, and some Legionnaires
spent a lot of time in current day DCU, too much time to ignore with a
simple hand-wave. This is starting to get complicated....

Bart originated out of the TMK Legion, didn't he? (The Dominators
having captured the Tornado Twins and experimented on Bart during
the occupation.) I haven't been reading JSA-- do the current
Legionnaire appearances conflict with the post-Five-Year-Gap
situation?

No. He was in the post-Zero Hours, or the post-Zero Hour Legion had a
story about him and Jenni (which we really need to get back)

The post-FYG Legion ceased to exist to make way for another Legion.
That Legion then disappeared so we could get the current Legion. We
knew Star Boy was supposed to become 21st Century Starman but all
indications were that it was Star Boy Mark 2. In fact, since Starman 5
(or is it 4? I can't remember if David was both 2 and 4.) met Star Boy
Mark 2 in the 31st Century, it seemed that he would become the Kingdom
Come Starman. (I know this is convoluted, but that's what happens with
multiple reboots of continuity.) Instead, it seems like Star Boy Mark 1
is Starman, having somehow survived his ceasing-to-exist. (And Dream
Girl, too.) And, yes, this definitely contradicts post-FYG continuity.

If I had to take a wild guess, I'd say that all Legion futures are now
possibilities from the present.

Not to mention that the Fatal Five are featured on the cover of B&B

At least two members of the Legion of Super-Villains are in JSA #4.
However, the original three LSV members have already appeared in
Superman/Batman and there was a post-ZH Fatal Five that was pretty much
identical to the original.

Plus Darkseid. But I think those are clearly images that Dr. Destiny
pulled from Nura's dreams, since that's the sort of thing he does. I
don't think the real Darkseid (or even one from a previous continuity)
is really walking around Arkham with a warped face.

What?! Of course he is! The LSV members have been seen in the past
year or two so they might count.
