No.

The Legion is always set one thousand years in the future. And
they've been around for fifty years... so... 1050 years.

Yes, and the orginal stories which are being reprinted are set 950 in
the future and the current ones are set 1000 years in the future.
None are set 1050 years in the future.

Let me try again. The Legion stories are always set one thousand
years in the future. That explains the 10 part of 1050. And they are
celebrating fifty years of stories. That explains the 50 part of
1050. Put those two ideas together. One thousand plus fifty equals
1050.

Or... if you don't like that explanation... the Legion started fifty
years ago and 1050 years from 1958 brings us to 3008 (one thousand
years from now... which is when all the Legion stories are set. They
are always set one thousand years from now).

Or.. if you really don't like any of those explanations (and I'm sure
that you won't) try this one...
We've spent fifty years being "in the future" *with* the Legion.
We've spent fifty years reading and enjoying their adventures... which
are always set one thousand years in the future.

Good luck.

Not really, no.

One thousand plus fifty equals 1050.
Yes, but we're not talking about 1050 Year In the Future.

Yes, but the stories in the comic start in 2958 (950 years in the
future, 1000 years when first published), as far as I can tell the
last stories are set in 2001 (993 years in the future, 1000 years when
published.)

None of that is 1050 years in the future.

Ok. Then I don't know what you're talking about. Because I'm talking
about 1050 years in the future.

No they don't. Go read their first adventure. They are taking place
one thousand years in the future in the 30th century.

Actually that's seven years in the past.

I'm guessing that you haven't read many Legion stories.

many of his posts. He's like this about everything.

So Marvel 2099 was set 106 years in the future and went for 4 years so
it's 110 years in the future?

Everything Reboot up until Legion of the Damned, unfortunately the
first 5 issues of Threeboot, and unfortunately only the first issue
(as a reprint) Adventure Comics in which they appeared.

I think the title means that "our" legion is now 1050 years in the future
from when they debuted. This uses the concept that the past is just another
place, so the 1050 is relevant to those readers 50 years ago (but 1000 is
always relevant to "now")

Ah. I see. Shame that the collection involved doesn't have any stuff
from our Legion now.
