Dream Girl Question

Picked up Lightning Saga the other day (and was violently angered by
three of the issues having nothing to do with LSH). In this Dream Girl
mentions going into The Dreaming as part of her powers. Are we
supposed to read this as being the DREAMING DREAMING? Like the Gaiman
Sandman Dreaming? Does that even make sense, shouldn't she be chilling
with his brother Destiny?

That "The Dreaming" is "The Dreaming" is clearly what the reader is
supposed to take away. Whether or not "The Dreaming" is, in =fact=, "The
Dreaming", of course, is yet to be seen...

I certainly took it that way, but figured it was just a throwaway line. Too
many close ties with the 20th/21st Century DC Universe(s) have mangled LSH
continuity in the past - I'd hate to imagine what Vertigo could do to them.

Did either of the more recent Dream Girls mention the Dreaming ? I seem to
recall Death making an appearance in the 5 Year Gap Legion (I mean literally
in a panel - figuratively she was all over that series from day one)

Death made her appearance at the very end of Giffen's part of the TMK
Legion, when Earth was evacuated and the entire solar system
destroyed. Y'know, the text-with-illustrations issue. #38 or 39.
