LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES (VI) 11.
It's the start of the latest war between the Legion of Super-Heroes and the
Legion of Super-Villains! Or is it?
In the wake of the LSV one shot, Legionnaires have been sent all over the
place.
One team is on Rimbor rounding up mostly petty crooks, but getting
confirmation that Saturn Queen is behind the Takron-Galtos breakout.
Lightning Lass expresses bitter memories of the last LSH/LSV war, were
Karate Kid was killed. (LSH (IV) 1-5.)
Another team is on Takron-Galtos helping to clean up, where Micro Lad's body
is found. Shrinking Violet expresses her feelings about him, one of the
Imskians who had her in a stasis tube and had Yera infiltrate the team (TLSH
(II) 285-305, revealed in 305.) and Cham recalls one of the dead guards as
one who was decent when he was incarcerated there (same time).
Timber Wolf is sent to Japan, looking for Sun-Killer, only to face Sun
Emporer instead.
Dream Girl returns from the past with Star Boy, demanding Brainiac 5 fix his
schizophrenia. He initially demurs until Green Mon-el returns to take
charge, reminding Brainy he didn't ask to be elected Leader. Dreamy
misjudges Brainy's actions, until he reminds her that "Despite all logic, my
feelings for you short-lived, small-brained, foolish idiots are sufficient
that I have chosen to spend my life among you, instead of onmy own world
where my intellect would be suitably honored because you are truly my
friends. Stop sniffling."
Also, Colu has cut off all contact with the outside world (See the LSV one
shot). Professor Li shows up to provide the issue's climax, insisting that
what is happening on Colu is all her fault. (Is it now. She was advising
Saturn Queen?)
Also, this weekend is the Planet Comicon in Kansas City, where I renewed my
acquaintance with the Moy brothers. Jeff revealed to me that they just
finished an 8-page backup that should appear in Adventure in a few months.
Until next time,
